How do I reserve dates, whether hosting, in a small group or solo?

Check the reservations page for available weekends for hosted retreats, marked "Available"; or for Open Retreats, held quarterly and open to anyone. Send an email, complete the contact form or call to discuss your reservation plans. Pay the deposit using the button on the reservation page and you're ready to pack.

Note: at this time, we have not made a sophisticated calendar booking tool, so the reservations are done outside the day job hours, all by hand. Soon, we'll get that set up, and in the meantime, thanks for sticking with us!

What payments are required?

$50 per person deposit required at time of booking to secure the spot; balance due six weeks prior to retreat.

Within 24 hours of deposit, you'll receive an email with relevant dates, and a couple months before your retreat, you'll receive an invoice for final payment.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed. Legally defined and task-trained service animals are welcome with advanced notice. If you require the assistance of a service animal during your retreat, we ask that you contact us to discuss arrangements prior to completing your booking.

When do we check in and out?

You may join us at the retreat at 10 a.m. on your arrival day, whether Thursday or Friday. Come on back to the dining room for a drink and fresh pastry when you arrive.

Departure is 3 p.m. Sunday, and we ask you to be out of your bedroom by noon so we can start the laundry. There's a lot of it.

What if I forgot something?

We keep a small stash of craft supplies on hand for at-cost purchase: basic colors of thread and paper, some adhesives.

Our craft room also holds an area for supply trades - search through here for free goodies or de-stash your own.

Extra toothbrushes and some toiletries can be found in the bathrooms.

What tools do you have for use while I'm there?

Two sewing machines - one for paper and one for fabric; while our quilters bring their own, we never know when someone may decide to try out a new hobby. Iron, ironing board.

Cricut and several cartridges; bring your own 12" mat. Cricut Easy Press, small.

Extra cutting tools; and we're on the lookout for a die-cut other than the Cricut.

Idea books - heavy on scrapbook, knitting and crochet.

What should I bring?

Tools and supplies for your favorite craft - everything you need to move your WIP to FO.

Also pack toiletries, medications and comfortable clothes with layers.

Earphones for private listening on your devices.

Your favorite beverages and/or snacks. We provide ice, tea, water and coffee along with a few sweet and salty snacks to keep you going between meals.

May I smoke?

Outside, and at least 50 feet from doors, windows, porches and other buildings. We do not want smoke to drift into the areas where our other guests are enjoying fresh air. We have created a smoking area nearby.

May I bring alcohol?

Alcohol consumption is strictly BYOB. We ask that all retreaters enjoy their drinks responsibly and remain mindful of their limits so everyone can enjoy a peaceful environment. Our retreat is not licensed to serve or provide alcohol, and so guests assume full personal liability for their own safety and actions while consuming personal beverages on the property.
